Once your fundraiser has ended, you'll want to decide on the future of your fundraising page. End dates and fundraising goals are simply visual displays on your page. Passing your end date or your goal will not end your fundraiser.
If you would like to continue accepting donations on your page, you can simply leave the page as is.
However, if you would like for your page to stop accepting donations, you'll want to review these options.
- Hide your page and turn off donations.
- Delete your fundraiser.
Both options are addressed through the "Settings" tab on your fundraising page dashboard.
Option 1: Hide and Turn Off Donations
The first option you have is to simply hide your fundraiser and turn off donations. We highly recommend this option as opposed to Option 2. Deleting your fundraiser will delete all of your donor data and remove you as the owner of that page.
To hide your fundraiser from any search engine on the platform, turn off "Discoverability."
Select "Turn off Donations" to disable donations on your page.
Once you have disabled these two options, donors will no longer be able to find your page on ColoradoGives.org nor will they be able to donate to your fundraiser page if they were to have a direct link.
Note: Turning off the donate button will impact any donors who have set up a recurring donation to your fundraising page. Those recurring donations will not process when they are scheduled to run and both you and the donor will get an email.
If at any point you want to enable donations again, simply head back to your "Settings" tab and turn on these features.
Option 2: Delete your fundraiser
If you would like to completely delete your fundraiser from the platform, scroll to the bottom of the "Settings" tab and select "Delete."
A popup will open confirming your action. Please note that deleting your page will delete all of your donor data and remove you as the owner of the page.
