Why is my donation not going through?
What is this error message?
Some users, when attempting to complete a donation, may get an error message with the code K-835.
This error code means that the transaction has been flagged in our system.
There are three main reasons why you might see this message:
- You are outside of the United States.
- You are traveling within the United States.
- You are connected to the internet via a proxy server (a server that acts as an intermediary). Many office buildings use proxy servers, so users trying to donate from work computers often encounter this message.
If you receive this message, simply submit the form with any notes that may be helpful and our staff will look into the situation and contact you when you’re clear to make another donation. If you continue to have issues completing your donation, you can contact us at support@coloradogives.org.
Making donations outside of the United States:
The best way to do make a donation outside the United States is to use a U.S. bank issued credit card.
Be sure to verify your card number, the security code (3 or 4 digits on the back of the card), use the correct zip code for your address, and the correct expiration date.
Sometimes even with all the correct information, you might get an error message.
In this instance, there are other payment methods you can use, including paying PayPal or your bank account for donations over $100.
